In 2002 I traveled to Guatemala and the Mexican state of Chiapas. These photographs are from the city of Antigua (where an earthquake in 1773 scrambled up the churches) and the incredible ruins at Tikal (where we were serenaded by howler monkeys) in Guatemala, and from the Palenque ruins, the water park Agua Azul and the city of San Cristobal in Chiapas.
