Song of the Road

Song of the Road was a show I did in the Nine Gallery in 1996. It was about the traveler’s headspace - open, eager, far from home and hungry for delectation of the wondrously strange hiding within someone else’s mundane. In 1998 this was expanded to a 100 print show that Tina Schelhorn arranged for me at the Neurologisches Therapiecentrum in Köln, Germany. I can’t tell how moving it was for me to have my photographs lining the halls that the patients were struggling their way down as they relearned how to walk.
